Get Fit With Me!

Hi all! We’ve all been stuck in a fitness rut before where all we want to do is sit on the couch and watch Netflix all day, but to that I say no more! We’ve got to find a way to turn off the TV or computer and get ourselves out of the house. Luck for you, I have devised a plan to do just that!

  1. Find what motivates you to work out. I personally like to look on pinterest for fitness motivation quotes. Another way to motivate yourself is buying cute fitness clothes that you only wear when working out.
  2. Make a plan/goals. This can include taking a walk 5 times a week or losing a pound a week. You can also find a fitness challenge that you can do every day, such as this squat challenge from skinny mom: https://www.skinnymom.com/april-challenge-30-day-squat-challenge/
  3. Be aware of what you are putting into your body. It is important to remember that diet is half the battle in becoming healthier. You cannot expect to become healthier or lose weight if you are eating crap. Instead of eating a whole bag of chips while watching TV, try apples and peanut butter or simply make your own chips. I am a firm believer in making your own food because then you control what is in it.
  4. Drink water! I’m not going to tell you to not drink your morning coffee (I certainly haven’t given up my coffee) just drink more water. Water is essential to your body, you need to keep your body hydrated so that your body can function properly.

There are many reasons why I want to begin to exercise again. First of all, exercising is a stress reliever. I am somebody who can get stressed really easily and I need a way to relieve that stress so that it doesn’t build up too much. Secondly, I feel more confident when I exercise regularly and eat healthily. We all know confidence is key! Lastly, being active is more fun than sitting at home being bored. I’m home alone a lot, which can be very boring, so getting out and going on a walk or something is a way for me to pass the time.
